“Laguna Beach and in particular the First Thursdays Art Walk is a wonderful destination to share with our guests,” says Emily Ripley, concierge at the Balboa Bay Resort. The event takes place the first Thursday of each month from 6–9 p.m. “Being an art colony, Laguna’s galleries offer the local history, culture and seaside beauty all in one eclectic, picturesque spot. Much of the impressionist and contemporary works visitors will see as they stroll or take the complimentary trolley through town reflect the nature, people and landmarks of the area as the subject matter of their art.

“I love that Laguna and its artists represent in the art walk all the best of what Southern California has to offer to travelers experiencing it all for the first time,” she continues. “I usually suggest our guests arrive early to view the sunset and people watching at Main Beach boardwalk or stop by for a drink at one of the amazing-view locations. In the summertime, musicians and artists bring the indoor events to the outdoors for everyone to enjoy for free.”

Napa Valley

Guests at the Meritage Resort and Spa can enjoy the Napa ARTwalk, where regional artists exhibit their art in downtown Napa. April also brings Arts in April with more than 75 events, including the ENGAGE Art Fair, installations, exhibitions, live performances, tours, discussions and more.
