Meetings Take to the Water at Balboa Bay Resort
Those hosting meetings and special events can now book them on the bay thanks to Balboa Bay Resort’s new yacht in Newport Beach, California. The Ambassador, a 128-foot yacht, can accommodate up to 150 people and serves as a floating space for everything from business meetings and corporate dinners to galas, weddings receptions and cocktail parties.
The Ambassador features three floors of luxury design. On-board temperature control and state-of-the-art amenities provide everything necessary for a sophisticated voyage. The vessel’s elegant spiral staircases encased in glass offer stellar views from the back of the yacht.
The main deck provides a large full bar coupled with an entertainment lounge and baby grand piano. The second floor houses a space ideal for larger dinner parties, complete with crystal Chiavari chairs, buffet areas and a wooden dance floor. Here, guests can also make use of the VIP suite, often used by brides hosting their wedding reception on board. The top deck—which is completely uncovered for sweeping scenes of the Newport Harbor and beyond—serves as a great place for cocktail hours and casual parties.

While resort guests are always welcome to book event spaces at the resort, one does not need to stay on-site in order to utilize The Ambassador, the ballroom or any of the resort’s 20,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor event space. This flexibility allows the Balboa Bay Resort to achieve greater use of its amenities and provide services for a wider range of customers.
