Have your ceremony on our Vineyard Deck, followed by a cocktail hour on one of our three covered terraces, and reception in our Estate Cave or one of our ballrooms offering up to 10,490 square feet of event space. The Meritage Resort is ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions of 25 to more than 500, however we have options available for events of all sizes up to 1,000 guests.
The Meritage Resort provides an expert event and conference services team, dedicated to making your big day not only memorable, but effortless. In addition to assisting with the planning of your ceremony and reception, your event manager can recommend and arrange rehearsal dinners, spa packages for the bridal party, exclusive entertainment options, and special guest room rates for wedding guests.
The bride and bridal party can also enjoy special treatments at Spa Terra, including innovative group and couples treatments, while the groomsman may prefer to relax in Crush Lounge before the big day.

Vineyard Deck 25 – 200 guests
The beautiful Vineyard Deck is located on our hillside among the vineyards located directly behind the resort and above the Estate Cave.
Estate Cave 50 – 200 guests
For the ultimate in romance and mystery, explore the spectacular heart of The Meritage Resort – the Estate Cave. This 3,892 square foot wedding venue is built into the hillside beneath our nine-acre vineyard.

Carneros Ballroom 25 – 500 guests
Featuring 7,358 square feet of reception space, it’s our second largest ballroom at The Meritage Resort and Spa and in Napa (the first being our Meritage Ballroom). Our most spacious indoor wedding venue, the Meritage Ballroom offers up to 10,490 square feet of premier event space, accommodating receptions of up to 650 guests. Vineyard Terrace 50 – 350 (cocktail hour)

Linen and Table Arrangements
Full length white linens and white napkins are included in your wedding package. Specialty linens, napkins, and chairs are available as a rental item and can be requested from your Event Manager. Based on your requirements, a custom floor plan of your event can be designed.
Do you have outdoor venues?
Yes, our Vineyard Deck and Event Piazza can be used for wedding ceremonies. In addition to these venues The Meritage offers three outdoor covered terraces that can be used for receptions or cocktail hours. Please inquire with the Catering Manager for more details.
Can you accommodate both our ceremony and reception?
We can accommodate ceremonies for up to 200 guests and receptions for up to 650 guests.
Do my guests have to stay at the resort in order to have our event there?
No, it is not a requirement that your guests stay at our resort; however, we do offer group rates for those who choose to stay with us.
What are the hours of events/cut-off times?
Events are quoted on a six (6) hour time period and weddings can be scheduled over the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. An overtime charge will be imposed for events exceeding six hours.
Can we bring in our own wines?
We suggest that guests select from our award-winning wine list. We do have a corkage fee if bringing your own wine is desired. A Catering Manager will be happy to discuss this with you.
Can we bring in our own caterer?
No, The Meritage Resort and Spa will provide you with a full-service catering team. Our award-winning Executive Chef and culinary team has designed an extensive selection of catering menus to choose from.
Do you cater off-site?
Yes, we have a variety of off-site locations where we can cater to your group. Please inquire with your Catering Manager.
Do you have a list of Preferred Vendors?
We have carefully selected a list of Preferred Vendors that we have associated with based on their quality and professionalism. You are not required to select a vendor from our Preferred Vendor list, but the vendors you choose must be licensed, insured, and professional.
Is your chef flexible with menu requests?
Yes, our catering team will develop a unique experience to suit your tastes and needs.
Do you require us to have a Wedding Planner?
A “Day of” Wedding Planner is required for all weddings. We can provide you with recommendations for a number of professional Wedding Planners if you desire.
Preferred Wedding Vendors
To ensure a most extraordinary day, The Meritage Resort requires a “Day of” Wedding Planner of your choice for all weddings. We also have a preferred vendor list to assist you in your planning. You may choose to use your own vendors; however, your selected vendors must be reliable, insured, professional, and familiar with the guidelines of The Meritage Resort. The Meritage Resort reserves the right to review and approve all vendors.
The resort will not permit the affixing of any items to floors, walls, or ceilings in our event spaces. Any questionable decorations, lighting, or other equipment must be approved by the Event Manager.

That’s why The Meritage Resort provides an expert Event Manager to work with you and your wedding planner, who is dedicated to making your big day not only memorable, but effortless. In addition to assisting with the planning of your ceremony and reception, your Event Manager can recommend and arrange rehearsal dinners, activities, and special menus for your wedding guests staying at the resort.
